Rainy Day Fort!

It's raining here today, and boy do we need it.  The grass around here looks like it's August, all brown and crunchy.  We are all still in jammies and I'm getting lots of post vacation stuff done.  Hope to post some pictures some time soon!

Let the SUMMER begin!

This morning was the last day of school.  The school year literally flew by.  I honestly can't believe that I now have a 4th grader and 2nd grader.  It's just so crazy!

The kids both had wonderful school years and fabulous teachers.  We will miss you both!

This great group of kiddos will also be missed, as two will be moving on to other schools next year. 

Now...looking forward to not watching the clock all day, doing what we want when we want and making LOTS of wonderful memories this summer!  It's going to be GREAT!

Mother's Day 2012!

Since Maggie's birthday always falls around Mother's Day weekend, we have always celebrated her birthday with the family on Mother's Day!  So really, it's more about her than me, and I'm totally okay with that.  We had a little cookout and then surprised her with an ice cream cake.  Did you know that my girl is ALL about dessert?!  Oh yeah baby...any kind really.  So she was extra excited about this cake!

Those two....is the best Mother's Day gift of all!

Here's my girl with the item she's been saving for (saving a LONG time for I might add!)  An iPod Touch.  Although, this new item comes with rules....rules I haven't figured out yet.  But I will!  In the meantime, she is one happy girl....one happy NINE year old girl!  The time is just a flying by!
